About Family Alliance
For the last 27 years, Family Alliance, Inc. has been a health care program for physically and mentally fragile, low-income senior citizens. Located in Woodstock, IL, our comprehensive programs assist seniors and their caregivers in dealing with health issues of aging. Our goals include helping seniors remain at home for as long as possible to avoid the expense and confinement of nursing homes and hospitals. Giving support, education and respite to caregivers is essential in assisting caregivers who give time and energy to care for loved ones at home.
Our programs include: Adult Day Health and Dementia Specific Day Programs with door-to-door transportation (for seniors living in McHenry County); Recovery Services; Dementia Support Services; in-home counseling; caregiver support groups; client advocacy; care management; and community support and education. A Courtyard and Memory Garden was opened at Family Alliance in 2007 as part of a new horticultural therapy program for our physically and mentally frail seniors. The Chicago Botanic Garden was on-site for 40 weeks providing horticultural therapy training for staff, making Family Alliance the only agency in McHenry County offering this unique therapy.
Family Alliance saves families and government agencies thousands of dollars each month by providing caregiver respite while seniors attend day health programs. Our services are not duplicated by any agency in our communities; we remain the only adult day health and psycho-social rehab service for seniors in McHenry County.
